This set features the defining "K" stamped on the bridge, a detail in Zeiss military production that signified specialized contract or cold-resistant service optics. Manufactured by Carl Zeiss Jena in approximately 1914 and marked with serial number427846, these binoculars represent a compact, high-performance Telex 6x model. The body retains its original black textured covering, showing brass exposure at the ocular rings and bridge edges due to age and operational use. The optical glass is reported as clear and free of flaws, and all mechanical elements—focus wheel and hinge—operate smoothly. Accompanied by its original heavy-duty black leather transport case with a secure spring-stud closure and intact shoulder strap, the case displays surface wear and crazing with structurally sound stitching. Both binoculars and case evidence authentic field use, aligning with early WWI service history. Dimensions: binoculars 10.2 cm H x 15.2 cm W (4.0" H x 6.0" W), weight is 469 g (1 lb 0.5 oz); case 12.7 cm H x 16.5 cm W (5.0" H x 6.5" W). PM/OT
