World War II-era 7x50 Dienstglas binocular set manufactured by Ernst Leitz Wetzlar, designated with the wartime code "beh" and serial number 469093. These large-objective binoculars, preferred for heavy artillery observation, are presented with theiroriginal black leather case showcasing Waffenamt stamps and white stitching. Inside the case is the internal property label of Captain Daniel S. Levey, Field Artillery, HQ 7th Army, underscoring direct provenance. Capt. Levey likely acquired these during the 7th Army's campaign through Southern France or Germany, and they have not been cleaned or restored since their return. The optics provide clear 7x50 light transmission with internal black spots noted in both barrels, and mechanical operation remains smooth. The leather case exhibits damage to the spring-latch and rear hinge, with the carrying strap absent. Dimensions: Binoculars: 17.8 cm H x 20.3 cm W (7.0" H x 8.0" W), Case: 20.3 cm H x 21.6 cm W (8.0" H x 8.5" W), Binocular Weight: 838 g (1 lb 13.6 oz). PM/OT
