19th Century German Alpine Carved Wood Antler

A 19th-century German or Austrian Alpine hunting pipe (Gesteckpfeife) featuring a multi-piece ebonized wood, horn, and stag antler construction. Measuring approximately 18 inches in total length when assembled, the pipe incorporates turned wooden stem segments with fluted and carved accents, a natural stag antler crown slice (Hirschhorn-Rose) serving as a decorative spacer disc, and a flexible fabric-wrapped section leading to a turned mouthpiece. Accompanied by a green attachment cord, this multi-component smoking instrument is a classic representation of traditional Central European folk craft and hunting culture. The pipe is currently detached in separate pieces and cannot be fully assembled in its current state due to damaged and brokenfitting components, including a notable chip and material loss on the fluted terminal section of the primary wooden body piece. Displays an authentic age patina with surface wear, light handling scuffs, and natural oxidation throughout.
