ca. late 18th-early 19th century; Beautifully crafted to mimic a beautiful bird in streamlined flight gate-weight in wrought iron with outstretched wings, spread tail and rounded head with pointed beak. The counter-weight is perfectly crafted that it could have been used a plumb-line as well. The bird has a central body ring for hanging and hole in center of the tail; 9 1/2" x 10" x 10 1/2"; [Provenance: sold in 2020, at Horst Auction Center]; Condition: some minimal rust
