ca. early-mid 19th century; Small size dovetail constructed spruce wood slide-lid box with compartmentalized interior. The boxes lid is slid in thin-line dado and has two gouge chisel carved thumbnail pulls. The box has wooden pegged bottom, chamfer molded edge that extends 1/4" beyond the box and retains an old reddish-brown with black sponge print finish; 4" x 8 1/2" x 2 5/8"; Condition: Box has old varnish coat finish that has darkened in time, good.
