ca. late 19th century; Attributed to Jonas Bucher of Clay Twp. Lancaster Co. , turnings typically called Lehnware turnings, because they were found in the same region. Each turning is red stain washed cherry wood with a tight seated domed acorn cap lid with porcelain button cap: 1. 2 1/4" dia. 2 1/2'H, Provenance: note ex-Lynne Openheimer, Langhorne, PA, purchased 2005. 2. 2 1/2" dia. X 2 3/4", Provenance: "Lehnware Saffron Cup" H.H. Leid Auction for Mamie Krick's estate. Condition: each turning has minor blistering to finish on lid, but good condition
