A mid-1920s example of America's beloved Peace Dollar series, this 1925 Silver Peace Dollar carries the iconic design created by sculptor Anthony de Francisci. Struck in 90% silver, it contains approximately .7734 troy ounces of pure silver. Liberty appears on the obverse wearing a radiant crown, while the reverse features a bald eagle perched on a rock with an olive branch, symbolizing peace. The Peace Dollar was introduced in 1921 to commemorate the return of peace following World War I. The 1925 issue is a popular date for collectors building a Peace Dollar set and offers the combination of historic American coinage and substantial silver content.
