Edison Ediphone Dictation Machine Stand 11 Cylinde

A vintage floor-standing acoustic recording and dictation machine manufactured by Thomas A. Edison, Inc. The unit is constructed from a black painted metal cabinet mounted on a four-legged matching metal stand. The top section contains therecording mechanism, including a carriage, mandrel, and a flexible speaking tube capped with a composition horn mouthpiece. The front panel features the Ediphone name in gold script and the Thomas A. Edison trademark signature. A decal onthe side panel displays two medallions under the text Grand Prize Sesquicentennial, referencing the 1926 Philadelphia International Exposition. The lower portion of the frame features an integrated rack holding eleven wax cylinder storagetubes. The rear of the cabinet is fitted with a ventilated panel, an electrical power socket, and a specialized plug assembly. The collection of cylinders includes brands such as Master Wax, Cleartone Cylinder, and Dictaphone Non-Static,This item is in weathered, as-found condition and is being sold untested for restoration, parts, or display only. There is extensive surface oxidation, pitting, and rust throughout the metal frame, mechanical components, and cabinet.
