An assortment of approximately 30 antique Edison phonograph cylinders, including 4-minute Blue Amberol celluloid and wax Amberol formats. This collection spans the early 20th century, circa 1908 to 1929, and encompasses various genres suchas vaudeville, operatic overtures, and sentimental ballads. Identifiable titles and performers incised or printed on the cylinder rims include Stone Mountain Memorial by V. Dalhart and Co. (2603), Just a Wee Doch and Doris (1819), Off IWent to Doctor by Jack Charman (23007), My Father Watches Over Me (2352), A Dream (Cornet) by Ernest Couturier (2119), and Special J: The Hermit's Bell Overture by the American Symphony Orchestra. Other artists represented includeElizabeth Spencer, Mary Carson, and the Empire Vaudeville Co. The cylinders are housed in their original cylindrical cardboard storage tubes, many of which feature the printed portrait of Thomas A. Edison. Labeling on the lids and bodiesMedia: Fair to Good. The celluloid Blue Amberol cylinders show surface dust and minor grime but remain largely structurally sound. The wax Amberol cylinders exhibit greater wear.
