Attributed to Richey and Hamilton, potters working in Palatine, WV. Typically their eagle and shield stencil has dots in the banner, however, this eagle stencil says "Eagle Pottery" which is associated with the James Hamilton pottery in Greensboro, Pa. If it weren't for the "Palatine WVA" stencil, I would attribute this to James Hamilton. Very nice jar. 15 3/4"H Piece missing from the left ear and shallow chip on right ear. A series of small, shallow chips on bottom edge. Stencil is light through the middle.
