Decorative vintage Indian brass temple bell and gong collection consisting of three coordinating pieces, with the tallest measuring approximately 11" tall. The set includes an ornate freestanding single bell framed by an elaborate pierced flame-form surround, a tall openwork stand suspending three graduated brass bells, and a separate handled brass gong accompanied by a long striker/mallet. The three-bell stand closely resembles vintage Indian temple or altar bell sets intended to be sounded externally with a striker rather than relying on traditional internal clappers; comparable examples are identified as Indian ornamental temple bells and are often made with engraved brass surfaces. The individual bells feature hand-engraved linear decoration, while the stands display pierced and incised ornamentation characteristic of Indian decorative metalwork. An especially attractive grouping for collectors of brass bells, temple and altar objects, Asian decorative arts, ceremonial metalwork, gongs, or vintage Indian décor. Displays an aged brass finish with natural patina, tarnish and surface wear consistent with age and use. Tallest piece measures approximately 11" tall. See photos for details.
