Collection of three vintage brass hanging bell clusters, featuring an assortment of traditional Indian-style bells suspended from cord and chain. The grouping includes engraved and incised brass bells in several shapes and sizes, including elephant claw-style bells, conical bells, and smaller hanging bells. Similar claw-form examples are associated with mid-century Indian brasswork and are often described as ritual, ceremonial, or decorative bells. The largest grouping is suspended from a dark red cord measuring approximately 40" long and incorporates 7 brass bells, including two distinctive elephant claw-style bells. Several feature decorative engraved patterns with traces of colored detailing and an aged brass patina. Also included are a multi-bell cluster suspended from braided brown cord and a third grouping suspended from a substantial linked brass chain. Together, the three pieces offer a wonderful variety of forms, tones, patinas, and traditional metalwork detailing. Vintage condition with age-related patina, oxidation, surface wear, and variations to the cords and hardware consistent with age and use. See photos for details.
