Vintage Mexican handwoven Yei Bei Chei-style rug featuring a striking figural design with four stylized ceremonial figures and arrow-like motifs. Woven in a Southwestern palette of ivory, rust, brown, black, gray and tan, with striped borders along both sides. The design is inspired by traditional Navajo Yei / Yeibichai imagery, although this example is identified as Mexican-made rather than Navajo-made. The bold pictorial composition makes it an attractive Southwestern textile for wall display, collection, or décor. Measures approximately 41" x 30". Shows some age-appropriate wear and irregularity consistent with a vintage handwoven textile. See photos for details.
