Vintage Navajo handwoven wool saddle blanket/rug featuring a striped design in cream, brown, rust/gold and gray tones. The original exhibition tag remains attached and identifies the piece as a “Single Saddle” by Pleasant Curly, exhibited through the Navajo Craftsman Exhibition of Northern Arizona in Flagstaff. The original tag is dated 7/18/1986 and includes inventory number W-294 and an original price of $24, providing documented provenance for the weaving. Measures approximately 31" x 27.5". Displays age-appropriate wear and natural irregularities consistent with a vintage handwoven textile. A great example of documented Navajo weaving that can be displayed as Southwestern textile art or used as a saddle blanket or small accent rug. See photos for details.
