One framed decorative print on a textured metallic foil substrate, after the mid-19th-century steel-engraved Eastern Hemisphere map originally produced by J. Rapkin for the publisher John Tallis. The map illustrates Africa, Asia, and Australia, with geographical features and place names rendered over a reflective, metallic background. The border consists of an intricate gilded scrollwork design containing vignettes of local wildlife and figures in traditional dress. The print is presented in a deep, multi-stepped wooden frame with a gilded inner fillet and a beige fabric-textured mount. Condition: The print surface is well-preserved. Minor surface dust is present. The frame shows light handling wear to the edges.
