A lot comprising two 20th-century decorative embossed metal wall plaques of differing styles. The first plaque is rectangular, featuring a bird perched on a branch feeding three chicks in a nest amongst leafy foliage. It is crafted from copper-toned metal with a black enamel or lacquer background used to accentuate the raised design. The reverse is finished with a red felt backing and includes a wire hanger and a paper label marked J-2-3012 175. The second plaque is tall and narrow, executed in brass with a central arched panel depicting embossed daffodils. The surrounding border features a heavily textured hammered ground, further decorated with embossed floral baskets and circular rosettes in the top and bottom corners. The piece is mounted onto a hardboard backing within a slim metal frame and is fitted with a hanging loop at the top. The design shows influences of the Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau movements. Condition: Both plaques are in good decorative condition. The copper-toned plaque shows minor surface wear consistent with age. The brass plaque exhibits light tarnishing and surface marks. Both mountings and hanging fixtures remain functional.
