H&R Topper M48 .410ga

This H&R Topper M48 break-action shotgun is chambered in .410 gauge and represents a classic American single-shot sporting design from Harrington & Richardson. This example has no visible serial number and features an approximately 28" barrel with a shiny bore. Overall condition is fair, with poor exterior cosmetics, substantial visible rust, finish loss, and age-related wear throughout the metal and furniture. The shotgun utilizes a traditional wood stock and forearm paired with a simple steel break-action frame. Most importantly, the trigger is broken, so the shotgun will need work before it can operate properly. It should be professionally inspected and repaired prior to use. H&R’s Topper series became well known for simple, affordable single-shot shotguns that served generations of hunters and recreational shooters. With its .410 chambering, long barrel, vintage styling, and well-worn appearance, this M48 offers an interesting restoration project with plenty of old-school character. Please see photos.
