5 Hand Painted Porcelain Bowls and Plates

Five hand decorated porcelain pieces. The large scalloped low bowl about 9 inches has an ivory ground with six black oval reserves of pink roses framed in gold beading and a heavily gilt scalloped rim, and its base tells the story. It is hand inscribed in script 1925, Woodlake, Calif over a black crown device with SILESIA and GERMANY beneath, so this is a German Silesian white blank hand decorated and dated by a china painter in Woodlake, California. The 1925 is the decorator's date, not a factory date. Also included are a reticulated pierced fruit plate about 7 and a half inches, a hand painted landscape plate signed in cursive K. Ishihara, and two lustre rim bowls about 6 and a half inches. Condition is fair, with heavy gilt wear on the large bowl, a small rim flake on one lustre bowl and tan staining in several wells.
