2 Talavera Pitchers and Painted Vase

Three ceramic pieces. Two hand painted pitchers of about 6 and a half to 7 inches form a pair in shape and decoration though the palettes differ, one with a white ground, cobalt handle and orange rim, the other with an ivory ground, orange brown handle and dark blue green rim, both worked with a stylized foliate plume on the neck, a band of green leaves with orange berries on the shoulder and a swag border of blue drops and yellow palmettes. A separate baluster vase about 6 inches has a tan apricot ground with hand painted white daisies. Correct the mark. The seller read it as Atunba Nixa. It actually reads TALAVERA, hand painted in brown on unglazed clay beneath an illegible monogram. Talavera is a ware and place term, not a maker. Condition is poor on the ivory pitcher, which has a 1 inch chip on the rear rim with raw clay showing. Sold as-is. Photos are the most accurate description of this lot.
