Glass pitcher with a cast metal mount, about 12 inches, offered in two parts. The glass on this one is materially better than on lot 640. It is genuinely cut and wheel engraved, with true crossed mitre lattice, cut fan and star bursts, a wheel engraved flower and leaf spray with matte engraved petals, and a cut star radiating from a polished center on the base. The mount is silverplate over a yellow base metal with the plate substantially gone from the exterior, and no hallmark or maker name appears anywhere. Read the condition before bidding, because there are two real faults. The hinge does not work and the lid is detached, with an open empty pin hole in the collar knuckle, so the lid merely rests in place. And the glass is badly sick, with heavy uniform white grey mineral cloudiness inside and out that obscures most of the cutting. Condition is poor. Sold as-is.
