A collection of Canadian nickel 25-cent coins issued in 1973 to mark the centennial of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The reverse design features a uniformed RCMP officer on horseback with the inscriptions CANADA and 25 CENTS, and the dual dates 1873 and 1973. The obverse presents the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II D G REGINA. These coins are of the small bust variety, characterised by the rim beads being spaced further from the edge of the design elements. Each coin features a reeded edge. Catalogue reference: KM:81.
