Canadian silver dollar struck in 1958 to commemorate the centenary of the founding of the Crown Colony of British Columbia. The obverse features the Mary Gillick laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The reverse features the Totem Pole design by Stephen Trenka, inscribed with CANADA, BRITISH COLUMBIA, DOLLAR, and the commemorative dates 1858 and 1958. The coin is composed of 800 fineness silver and features a reeded edge. Suggested reference (unverified): KM 54.
