A hand-crafted decorative figurine of a zebra, constructed in the style of Southern African wire and beadwork. The piece features a galvanised wire armature which has been wrapped with multiple strands of black and white glass seed beads to create a striped pattern. The head features two small red glass beads for the eyes, and the figurine is finished with a curled tail. The wireframe is visible on the underside and at the hooves, which is characteristic of this artisanal construction technique. Height approx. 19.7 cm x Length approx. 24.8 cm (measured against a ruler). Condition: The item is in good overall condition with the beadwork appearing intact. The wire structure is stable, allowing the piece to stand unaided. Minor irregularities in bead alignment and visible wire at the extremities are typical for this handmade medium.
