This standing rooster figurine is constructed of glazed ceramic. The white ground is decorated with hand-painted black spots and streaks. The comb and wattle are finished in a red glaze, with an orange beak and orange legs. The bird is mounted on a textured base with green and yellow glazes designed to simulate grass. The entire surface features a heavy, intentional craquelure finish. The underside of the base is covered in black felt with four tan protective pads. Dimensions: H approx. 12 1/4 inches x W approx. 9 inches (read from a visible tape measure). Condition: The figurine exhibits several areas of glaze loss and chipping, most notably on the breast, neck, and tail sections. There is accumulated soil and darkened discoloration visible within the recesses of the craquelure glaze and the textured tail feathers.
