This lot comprises two assorted fine bone china teacup and saucer sets of varying styles and periods. The first set is produced by Royal Standard, England. It features a traditional form teacup with a scrolled handle and matching saucer, both characterized by scalloped edges and gold-gilt rims. The decoration consists of hand-painted enamel floral sprays in shades of yellow, purple, blue, and pink with green foliage and gilded vine accents. The base of the cup bears an underglaze backstamp with a crown motif and the text ROYAL STANDARD BONE CHINA ENGLAND, which is partially obscured by tape, alongside hand-painted gold-tone characters 386 and f. The second set is from the Maxwell & Williams Cashmere Enchante collection in the Veronique pattern designed by Claire Chilcott. The set includes a wide-mouthed teacup with a footed base and a matching saucer. The decoration features an intricate white and gold-tone floral transfer design against a deep red ground. The saucer has a central well with a light blue and white scrolling border. The teacup interior contains a central polychrome butterfly and a small floral spray. The base of the teacup is marked with a comprehensive manufacturer backstamp identifying the maker, collection, and pattern. Condition: The Royal Standard teacup shows moderate staining to the interior bottom and visible wear to the gilt rims of both the cup and saucer. The Maxwell & Williams set appears to be in good overall condition with no visible chips, cracks, or repairs, showing only minimal shelf wear to the base.
