This lot consists of five ceramic and stoneware items featuring brewery and regional themes. Included are a pair of 11 inch tall musical steins crafted from glazed ceramic with relief-molded scenes depicting traditional German figures. Onestein features a woman in traditional dress with a banner reading Da such ich meine Freude, while the other shows men drinking with a banner reading BierLiebe. Both possess metal lids and internal Mapsa Swiss musical movements, with oneretaining a label for the Hofbrauhaus melody. The lot also features an American Bicentennial commemorative mug with a textured gunmetal-grey glaze and relief imagery of the Spirit of 76 and a Continental soldier. The handle is molded withthe year 1776 and the base is incised Shawn 75. Further items include a 1/2 liter grey stoneware mug from the 1974 German Alps Festival in Purling, New York, featuring whimsical musical graphics, and a white ceramic Pennsylvania souvenirThese items show light surface wear and minor shelf marks expected with their age and use. The Pennsylvania pitcher exhibits fine crazing throughout the glaze. Lids and musical movements appear to be in good order with typical patina on the metal surface Height: 11 inches Capacity: 1/2 liter.
