Noel Rockmore (American, 1928-1995) A lively ink and watercolor drawing depicting a gathering of figures on a sandy beach or open ground beneath a vast, linear overhead structure. The scene is rendered with earthy browns, oranges, and muted greens, accented by splashes of blue and red. Figures engage in various activities, outlined boldly in black ink. Signed 'Rockmore' at the lower center. Unframed. Noel Rockmore (born Noel Montgomery Davis) was an American painter, draftsman, and sculptor, born in New York City to artists Gladys Rockmore Davis and Floyd Davis. Known for his prolific output, he reportedly created over 15,000 works during his lifetime, exploring a diverse range of subjects and styles. He was a significant figure in the New York art scene.
