An antique bisque socket head doll by Armand Marseille featuring the classic 390 mold. The doll is mounted on a fully jointed composition & wood body and features blue glass sleep eyes with an open mouth displaying four inset teeth. She arrives dressed in a multi-piece ensemble including a pinstriped cotton dress, lace-trimmed undergarments, fishnet stockings, & black buckled shoes. The back of the head is incised 390n. A. M. 10/0 / 1, while the torso is marked 6 1/2. The bisque head is in good condition with minor rubbing to the cheeks. The composition body shows expected age-related wear & minor surface loss at the joints consistent with its history. The clothing is well-preserved with light instances of yellowing.
