This late 1800s glazed porcelain china head doll by Hertwig & Co. features molded black hair and fixed painted blue eyes. The doll is constructed with a stamped cloth body and glazed porcelain limbs, including painted boots with blue ribbon detailing and yellow soles. She is presented dressed as found in an elaborate late-Victorian outfit of brown figured velvet and purple silk with intricate beadwork and sequins. 12 inches. The doll remains in good antique condition with expected light surface soil and glaze crazing typical of age. The porcelain components are well-preserved with minor paint rubbing to the cheeks, and the clothing shows characteristic age-related wear.
