This antique German bisque socket head doll was manufactured by Heubach Koppelsdorf in Thuringia, featuring an incised mark on the reverse of the neck. The doll is fitted with brown glass sleep eyes, an open mouth with four porcelain teeth, and a fully jointed composition and wood body. She wears a period-style two-piece tan and brown ensemble with lace-up boots, though the outer outfit is sewn on limiting complete inspection. Height: 21 inches. This doll shows expected wear consistent with age, including surface scuffing to the composition limbs and matting to the wig. The hands show evidence of restorations and a prior finger repair, while the bisque head remains in good overall condition.
