SPI Gallery decorative fishing sculpture, handmade in China, depicting a dramatic largemouth bass rising vertically from the water with its mouth open toward a smaller hooked fish suspended from a slender fishing line and articulated rod. The composition is cast in solid brass using the lost-wax process, a construction method specifically identified by SPI Gallery for its sculpture line, and is finished in a dark bronze-toned patina with selectively polished brass highlights along the mouth, gills, fins, and other raised details. The highly detailed bass features individually modeled scales, deeply defined fins, and an animated trophy-fish pose, while the sweeping rod creates an unusually dynamic silhouette. Mounted on a polished black oval marble base with protective pads beneath. Original SPI Gallery label remains affixed to the underside and states that the piece is hand-sculpted, cast in solid brass, and handmade in China; the original SPI Gallery care instructions and polishing cloth are also included. Condition appears very good overall with light surface wear and minor patina variation consistent with display and handling; no significant losses are apparent from the photographs. Measurers 13.75"H x 10"W x 6"D.
