Assembled Victorian & Vintage Serving Collection

An extensive assembled collection of antique and vintage silverplate hollowware comprising a large ornate footed water pitcher or ewer with sweeping handle, flared spout, and richly applied grape, floral, and scroll decoration; a set of six tall beaded-rim tumblers or julep-style cups; several circular bottle coasters and serving stands including examples with elaborate pierced foliate galleries, ring handles, and wood or composition inserts; and additional circular bowls and serving pieces with molded and beaded borders. The collection displays an appealing mixture of Victorian and later traditional decorative styles, with particularly attractive openwork scrolling ornament and substantial architectural forms. Various pieces retain maker and pattern marks, including a K.S.G. marked piece with crown and emblem devices and another bearing a circular maker’s stamp with pattern number 7350. Condition is consistent with age and use throughout, including substantial tarnish and oxidation, scattered surface scratching, rubbing and areas of plate wear, discoloration, minor dents and edge irregularities, and general handling wear; the group retains strong decorative character and would polish considerably if desired. Cups measure 4"H x 3.25"W each, pitcher is 12H x 9"W x 6"D, other items measure 2.5"H x 6"W, 2.5"H x 7.25"W, 3"H x 7.5"W and 4"H x 8"W x 5"D.
