A striking 1930s Martele line art glass bowl formed in rich amethyst-purple glass, its substantial body molded in high relief with an abundant arrangement of fruit, blossoms, curling stems, and overlapping foliage. The softly frosted exterior contrasts beautifully with the more translucent raised decoration, producing shifting tones of lavender and deep violet, while the irregularly scalloped rim and heavy shaped base give the bowl a distinctly sculptural Art Deco-era presence. Condition includes light surface scratching, shelf wear, scattered rubbing to the frosted finish, minor manufacturing irregularities, and several small rim nicks or areas of edge roughness visible in the photographs; no major crack is apparent. Measures 4"H x 8.25"W x 3.5"D.
