One Japanese 50 sen government banknote dated 1938 (Sh?wa 13), cataloged as Pick 58. The note features Mount Fuji, cherry blossoms, a chrysanthemum emblem, Japanese denomination text, and a large reverse 50 design. It is housed in a clear plasticcurrency holder with a handwritten label reading “JAPAN / 1938 / PICK-58 / 50 SEN.†The note shows substantial age-related toning and discoloration, multiple creases and folds, stains, surface soiling or foxing, and worn or slightly wavy edges. Rand dark markings are visible, but their status is undetermined and they are not treated as serial numbers. Photographs were taken through plastic, which may obscure details.
