Description: Antique cast iron camp kettle with matching lid and three integral legs, measuring approximately 15 inches in diameter. Features dual bail ears for a swing handle (handle not present) and three raised feet for cooking directly over hot coals or an open fire. This style of kettle was widely used during the late 19th to early 20th century, circa 1880–1920, for outdoor cooking, chuck wagons, camps, and homesteads. The underside of the lid is faintly marked indicating its size. An excellent primitive cookware piece for collectors, hearth displays, or restoration. Condition: Heavy cast iron with an aged patina, surface rust, and wear consistent with age and use. Bail handle is missing. No obvious cracks or repairs are visible in the provided photographs, though the pot has not been closely inspected or ring-tested. Please examine all photographs carefully as they are part of the description. If you have any doubt, please attend the preview and examine all photographs closely before bidding.
