Description German Mauser K98 bayonet with matching metal scabbard measuring approximately 16 inches overall. Blade is maker marked E. & F. Hörster with date code 44 on the ricasso. Crossguard is serial numbered 20119, and the scabbard throat is also stamped 20119, indicating matching numbers. Wood grip panels are secured with two rivets. Includes leather frog attached to the scabbard. Please review all photographs for markings, matching serial numbers, and overall condition. Condition Good overall condition with light finish wear, scattered oxidation, and handling marks appropriate for age. Blade retains a pleasing finish with no obvious major damage visible. Wood grips exhibit expected wear from age and use. Scabbard and leather frog show wear appropriate for age, with the retaining strap appearing to have a hole or tear.
