Estate fresh AU LION marked U.S. Model 1918 style trench knife featuring a cast brass knuckle grip with pointed pommel and steel blade. Blade is marked AU LION beneath the reclining lion trademark. The previous owner represented this knife as an original World War I example. No independent authentication has been performed. From photos alone no one can give a 100% authentication, but the wear, casting quality, and correct Au Lion mark and scabbard style are consistent with a period piece rather than a modern cast copy.
