NO SHIPPING ~ LOCAL PICKUP ONLY > NO SHIPPING ~ LOCAL PICKUP ONLY > As discovered, not cleaned or altered, offering one example, the larger table from a vintage two piece nesting set, standing approximately 22" tall with a heavy triangular iron top measuring 20" from point to point. The open side of the base intentionally lacks a connecting stretcher so the smaller companion table could slide beneath and remain nested within the larger frame. The top and surrounding skirt are iron, while the three supporting legs are cast metal. A large mottled brown ceramic panel fills the center, bordered by individual glazed tiles in oxblood, ochre, cream, brown, charcoal, and gray. Irregular rounded geometric motifs across the tiles create an abstract Modernist composition in warm earth tones. The three legs are positioned near the rounded points of the top and joined by curved lower stretchers around the remaining sides. The asymmetrical open base is functional rather than incomplete, reflecting the original nesting arrangement. The abstract glazed tile decoration and earthy palette strongly reflect European studio ceramic furniture of the 1960s and 1970s. Comparable work associated with Roger Capron, Tue Poulsen, and Belgian Brutalist furniture makers paired richly glazed geometric tiles with substantial frames, though this example uses iron and cast metal rather than the oak commonly seen in those documented designs. No signature, label, or maker attribution has been located, so these comparisons are stylistic only. Suitable as a side table, plant stand, occasional table, or sculptural accent within Mid Century Modern, Brutalist, Mediterranean, eclectic, or garden room interiors. CONDITION REPORT > As discovered, not cleaned or altered ~ Remained outdoors and exposed to the elements over many years, with notable roughness and low relief rust across the central topside area of the iron top, together with additional oxidation and weathering to the skirt, legs, stretchers, and other metal elements.
