AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Vintage TINKERTOY construction set in the original tall cylindrical cardboard canister with metal top and bottom rims. The canister is a little more than half-filled with assorted wooden connector spools, wheels, colored rods and molded plastic accessory parts. The illustrated exterior is printed EDUCATIONAL TINKERTOY and shows examples of figures, vehicles and mechanical models that could be assembled from the components. Tinkertoy was introduced in 1914 as an American construction toy using perforated wooden spools joined by fitted rods. The canister and assorted contents offer collectible appeal for vintage toy, educational building-set and childhood memorabilia collections.
