Sound with characteristic ornate frame and bold cancel (scans show color, centering, and any minor faults typical of the era). Key variety for your 1861 or Washington collection. Scott CV substantial with premiums for fresh pink. Genuine classic U.S. postage 1861–1867 issue (Scott 63–78 range), featuring the Washington profile in rose/pink with "U.S. POSTAGE" at top and "THREE CENTS" at bottom in an ornate frame.
