Glass Miniature Oil Lamp – Novelty Marine/Railroad Lantern Silhouette, Brass Frame, Hinged Smoke Hood Metal Deflector, Made in Hong Kong Description Item: Miniature oil lamp / kerosene lamp. Design/Subject: Novelty industrial style designed to mimic a full-sized maritime or railroad conductor's lantern. Features a small, clear glass circular font base cradled by an integrated brass metal wire structural frame. The frame wraps around the sides and arches over the top to form a carrying handle. The chimney stack is uniquely fitted with a broad, dark metal horizontal wing or "smoke hood" deflector shield beneath the upper handle loop. Outfitted with a bright brass burner collar, a scalloped turn-knob wick raiser stamped "MADE IN HONG KONG," and a clear glass pear-shaped hurricane chimney shade. Material: Clear glass font and chimney, brass wire framing, and sheet metal deflector components. Features: The highly distinct lantern look complete with a wire guard and smoke deflector sets this piece apart from traditional glass or ceramic styles. It appeals perfectly as a crossover piece for miniature lighting collectors, railroadiana enthusiasts, or nautical-themed decor displays. Condition: Good vintage/pre-owned condition.
