Dating to the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, this three-piece collection features commemorative awards from the Austro-Hungarian Empire. The group includes two bronze 1873 War Medals (Kriegsmedaille), featuring the profile portrait of Emperor Franz Joseph I surrounded by royal titles on the obverse and "2. DECEMBER 1873" enclosed within a laurel and oak wreath on the reverse, both suspended from triangular black and yellow striped ribbon mounts. Completing the grouping is a gilt-finished 1908 Jubilee Cross (Jubiläumskreuz), depicting a central profile of Franz Joseph I encircled by "FRANZ JOSEPH I" on the obverse and the dual anniversary dates "1848 1908" on the reverse. Each 1873 medal measures 1.4" in diameter, while the 1908 Jubilee Cross measures 1.5" x 1.5". All three pieces display moderate surface wear, minor scratching, oxidation spotting, and light finish rubbing consistent with age and storage. The fabric ribbons show age toning and edge fraying, but both remain firmly attached to their suspension loops. Representing key military and anniversary honors from the reign of Emperor Franz Joseph I, this grouping offers strong collector appeal for displays of Central European or Imperial Austrian militaria.
