This Imperial German patriotic token from the outbreak of World War I features an octagonal brass design. The obverse is decorated with champlevé enamel work, showcasing a central black enameled Iron Cross set against a translucent red background. The outer border segments are filled with white enamel and display the stamped Prussian military motto "GOTT MIT UNS" alongside the war commemoration year "1914". The reverse features a functional horizontal attachment pin and the stamped "GES. GESCH." design protection mark. The enamel shows minor surface scuffs, and the brass base displays an aged, untouched patina. This measures 3/4" tall. B
