This brown textured photo album titled "Erinnerungen an meine Dienstzeit" documents the service of a member of Reichsarbeitsdienst (RAD) Abteilung 5/292 stationed at Breisach am Rhein during the Winterhalbjahr (Winter Half-Year) 1938/39. The album contains 94 black-and-white photographs on 18 pages, depicting formal unit portraits, camp buildings, inspections, drill formations, work details, sentry duty, marches, group portraits, and everyday life within the RAD camp. Several photographs feature identifiable RAD sleeve shields and uniforms, while a large captioned unit photograph specifically identifies RAD Abteilung 5/292, Breisach a. Rh., Winterhalbjahr 1938/39. Additional images include portraits of individual RAD members, recreational scenes, and views of the camp and surrounding area, providing an excellent visual record of pre-war Reichsarbeitsdienst service immediately before the outbreak of the Second World War. The album retains its original textured brown covers with applied RAD insignia and silver title lettering, and remains structurally sound with moderate handling wear consistent with age.
