This lot comprises ten terra cotta street collection tokens issued for the Winter Relief (WHW) campaign in Germany during 1937-1938. Each token features an astronomical theme, with constellations such as Ursa Major, Pegasus, Cassiopeia, and Lyra depicted in relief, highlighted by applied yellow painted stars. The tokens include attached cords for hanging, with some visible fraying and minor wear to the paint as well as a chipped base on the Lyra figure. These tokens were distributed as part of fundraising efforts under the Third Reich, using representations of star patterns to encourage public charitable donations. Each piece measures 1.5 to 2 inches in height. The reverses show original mounting adhesive. This group represents one of the thematic series produced during this period. SC
