Five WWII German WHW (Winterhilfswerk) home-front charity badges, including three unglazed red terracotta busts produced by the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory depicting characters from Wilhelm Busch's Maler Klecksel: "Klecksel," "Frau Knopp," and "Basne." Each bust has hand-painted details and sharp stamped text. Badges measure 1 inches in height and 1/2 - 1 inches in width. Also included is a glazed off-white porcelain multi-masted sailing frigate badge and a stamped silver-grey metal rose pin. All items display good front patina. The ship and rose retain original pin assemblies, Frau Knopp retains a red/white hanging string, while Klecksel and Basne are missing rear pin assemblies and have popped backing discs. SC
