Eight hand-painted ceramic donation pins issued by the Winterhilfswerk (WHW) during the Third Reich between 1933 and 1945. Each pin depicts a folklore figure or individual in regional costume, with one figure representing a bricklayer. The pins were distributed as street donation tokens in series, designed to encourage repeat contributions to the WHW campaign by creating a collectable incentive. Four of the figures are missing their pins, however, two pins are provided. Oxidation and adhesive residue are visible on the reverse of several. One figure bears an incised number 16 on its reverse. The pins vary slightly in shape, color, and features, reflecting regional designs typical of the WHW series. They measure 1.5" to 1.75". SW
