A French Provincial style triple dresser manufactured by Vallières of Nicolet, Quebec, Canada. This piece is constructed with wood veneers in a fruitwood or walnut-toned finish and features solid wood secondary components. The dresser is designed with a serpentine front and a central two-door cupboard opening to interior storage, flanked by two banks of three drawers. The drawers are constructed with dovetail joinery and solid wood sides. The piece is supported by four cabriole legs and a scalloped apron decorated with carved foliate and shell motifs. The drawers and doors are fitted with ornate, scrolled swing-bail and vertical pull handles in a patinated brass finish. A branded maker mark reading vallières nicolet.canada is located on the interior of a drawer. Condition: The dresser is in fair to good vintage condition. Significant surface wear is visible on the top and along the edges, including scuffs, scratches, and finish loss. A notable chip to the veneer is present on the front left corner of the top surface. The hardware is intact with an aged patina.
