An original colour lithograph by noted Canadian printmaker Kay Murray Weber, combining abstract geometric forms with celestial imagery in a harmonious composition of deep blues, textured surfaces, and a luminous circular form. Printed on handmade paper in an exceptionally small edition of only four impressions, this work reflects Weber's mature exploration of colour, texture, and symbolic abstraction. The dramatic palette and tactile surface exemplify the innovative printmaking techniques for which the artist became well known. Artist Biography: Kay Murray Weber (1919–2007) was a respected Canadian printmaker and painter born in Ayr, Ontario. She studied at the Ontario College of Art under celebrated printmaker Fred Hagan and painter Jock Macdonald, later becoming an important figure in Canadian printmaking. Weber exhibited extensively across Canada and internationally, including exhibitions in England, Poland, Austria, Yugoslavia, and the United States. She was elected to the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts (RCA) and held memberships in the Ontario Society of Artists (OSA), the Canadian Society of Graphic Arts (CSGA), the Canadian Society of Painter-Etchers and Engravers, and the Arts & Letters Club of Toronto. Her innovative prints are represented in numerous public and private collections.
