This 12-inch antique German doll is crafted by the esteemed Armand Marseille, featuring the classic 390 "Dolly Face" bisque porcelain head in the rare 15/0 miniature size. The finely rendered face displays fixed or sleeping glass eyes, delicately blushed cheeks, and an open mouth with teeth, all emblematic of the 390 series. She is dressed as a World War I era Red Cross infirmary nurse, wearing a crisp white cotton dress and apron, embroidered "NURSE" inside a red cross, a fabric nurse’s cap, Red Cross pin, and painted composition shoes. Her period costume is sewn on, limiting access for full body inspection. There is some visible wear and damage to her composition limbs, but the character and historical Red Cross attire make this doll a prized collector's piece. The back of her head is marked "Made in Germany 390 15/0M. **Shipping Notice: Due to the delicate nature of the doll's sleep eye mechanism, any shipped doll will arrive with the wig and skull cap removed, and the eyes secured to help minimize the risk of damage during transit. Please expect this if you require shipping. Because of the additional time and care required to prepare the doll for safe shipment, an additional handling fee may apply. These dolls are exceptionally fragile, and while we take the greatest care in packing and securing every item, shipping always carries an inherent risk. By requesting shipping, you acknowledge and accept the possibility of damage that may occur during transit.
